Online tools built to be checked, not just clicked
iToolsLab is a collection of free utilities for students, professionals, developers, marketers, writers and anyone who needs a quick answer. Each page puts the tool first, then explains what it does, how it works, a worked example and the mistakes to avoid, so you can trust the result and learn the method as well.
Our name and ID generators create usernames, domain ideas, business names, UUIDs and game seeds, while the finance calculators cover loans, mortgages, interest, ROI, margins, VAT and pay, and the everyday calculators handle percentages, BMI, GPA and calories. The date and time tools handle ages, countdowns and time zones. The converters change units, temperatures, number bases, Roman numerals and colors. The text tools count words, change case, clean lists and build clean URLs.
For creators and builders there are generators for passwords, random numbers, QR codes and placeholder text, developer tools for JSON, Base64, URLs, hashes and regex, SEO tools for meta tags, robots.txt, UTM links and schema, AI tools for prompts, tokens and API costs, and an image tool to shrink photos without uploading them.
For jobs that need big databases or live servers, such as page speed tests, keyword volume and backlink data, see our directory of trusted free tools.

Frequently asked questions
Are these tools really free?
Yes. Every tool is free with no sign up, no download and no daily limit.
Is my data safe?
Yes for almost every tool. They run in your browser, so the text, numbers, files and images you use are not uploaded to our servers. The exceptions are the currency converter, which only fetches public exchange rates, and the AI tools, which send your text to the Puter service and an AI provider after you press the button. Each of those pages says so.
Do the tools work on a phone?
Yes. The pages are built for small screens and work in any modern browser.
How accurate are the calculators?
They use standard published formulas and are tested against worked examples. Each page shows the formula and an example so you can verify the result.
Can I suggest a new tool?
Yes. Use the contact page to tell us what you need and we will consider it for the next update.
